Next Step Football Academy – Terms and Conditions for Parents/Guardians

By booking or attending any session with Next Step Football Academy, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms and conditions.

1. Subscription and Payment Agreement

All bookings for development centre sessions operate on a recurring monthly subscription. By completing your child's subscription set up, you authorise Next Step Football Academy to collect scheduled payments using the payment method provided at the time of booking until formal written notice is given.

Payments will be automatically taken on the 1st of each month to secure your child’s place at the academy.

Failure to attend sessions does not cancel or pause your subscription.

2. Notice Period for Cancellation

If you wish to cancel your child’s place, you must provide 1 month’s written notice.

Notice must be submitted via:

  • Email to info@nextstepfootballacademy.co.uk

Cancellation requests submitted through social media messages, verbal conversations, or text messages will not be considered valid notice.

3. Attendance During Notice Period

Players are welcome and encouraged to attend all scheduled sessions during their notice period.

Your subscription remains active during this time and sessions will continue as normal.

4. Final Payment

If a scheduled payment falls within the notice period, this payment will still be collected in full and will cover the remaining sessions during that notice period.

Cancelling a payment through your bank does not cancel your subscription and does not remove the obligation to complete the notice period payment.

5. Refund Policy

Next Step Football Academy operates a strict no-refund policy.

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Missed sessions
  • Holidays or personal commitments
  • Illness or injury
  • Late arrivals or early departures
  • Withdrawal during the notice period

6. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

By agreeing to these terms, you confirm that any payments taken in accordance with these terms are authorised and agreed.

Submitting a payment dispute or chargeback with your bank for a validly authorised payment may result in:

  • Immediate suspension of your child’s place at the academy
  • Recovery of outstanding fees
  • Administration and dispute recovery charges

Next Step Football Academy reserves the right to provide these agreed terms and booking records to financial institutions as evidence of authorisation.

7. Missed Sessions

Next Step Football Academy does not guarantee replacement sessions for missed sessions.

Sessions missed for any reason including illness, holidays, school commitments, or personal circumstances are not refundable and cannot be transferred.

8. Session Changes and Cancellations

From time to time sessions may be affected by weather, pitch availability, or unforeseen circumstances.

Next Step Football Academy reserves the right to:

  • Adjust monthly payment amount to reflect cancelled sessions by Next Step Football Academy
  • Cancel sessions where necessary for safety

Where sessions cannot take place, the academy may provide a replacement session where possible, but this is not guaranteed.

9. Player Conduct

All players are expected to behave respectfully towards coaches, staff, and other players.

Next Step Football Academy reserves the right to remove or suspend a player from sessions where behaviour is considered unsafe or disruptive. In such cases no refunds will be issued.

10. Health and Medical Responsibility

Parents/guardians must inform the academy of any medical conditions, injuries, or health concerns that may affect participation.

Players take part in football training at their own risk.

Next Step Football Academy and its coaches cannot accept liability for injuries sustained during normal football training activities.

11. Personal Property

Next Step Football Academy accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings brought to training sessions.

Players are encouraged to leave valuables at home.

12. Photography and Media

From time to time photographs or videos may be taken during sessions for promotional purposes. By accepting photo consent for your child, you consent to the potential use of such media for promotion or for social media unless written notice is provided requesting otherwise.

13. Right to Refuse or Cancel Participation

Next Step Football Academy reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or cancel a player’s participation if:

  • Fees remain unpaid
  • Terms and conditions are breached
  • Behaviour standards are not met
  • Participation is deemed unsafe

14. Agreement

By booking sessions and allowing your child to attend, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions and the cancellation policy outlined above.
